Security forces in Kismayo have began a security operation in the city and arrested 18 people accused of committing robbery.

A police official in the city told radio Simba that these people were caught red handed.

The security forces say they have not had their salary; however they reiterate that they are ready to keep law and order.

The security situation in Kismayo has been markedly deteriorating which forced aid organizations to suspend their operation.
