Fierce clashes began in Baidoa after Al-shabab forces attacked the home of Ibrahim Cabdinuur, a member of the Somali parliament.
These clashes took place in Mursal neighborhood in the center of the city.
It is still unclear if the attack caused any casualties or damages although gunfire could be heard around the city of Baidoa .
Baidoa is the temporary seat of the Somali government which is supported by Ethiopia to curb an ever growing insurgency.
It is the second time this week Baidoa has been attacked. The previous attack targeted Baidoa police station in which the insurgency briefly took control of it.
