The security in Daynuunay has been beefed up and the forces in the area were put on a high alert following a fighting between government and the insurgency.

Recently, government reinforcements have streaming to the area. Government troops have also taken new positions around Daynuunay.

The violence in Daynuunay, 20km east of Baidoa created a sense of insecurity in the area although there is some sort of security in the area.
