Saciid Cabdi Qalaad, the head of Xalane camp for the displaced people in Lafoole was killed last night.

According to his wife, Shukri Cali, a group of men armed with pistols shot him leaving him dead on the scene.

It is not known as yet why this man was targeted and who is responsible for his death.

This latest killing comes following spite of insecurity in the Lower Shabelle Region where there is also a growing power struggle between the ruling groups in the area.
