A large delegation of ARS led by Sheikh Shariif sheikh Ahmed, is visiting the Egyptian capital, Cairo where they are due to meet Arab league officials.
Top on the list will be the ongoing peace process to bring peace to Somalia in the spirit of Djibouti peace accord which was signed last June under the auspices of UN organization.
A senior member of the alliance, Dahir Mohamud Gelle, told radio Simba that the visit is a part of a larger itinerary ranging from Arab countries to western countries in view to mop up support to Djibouti peace accord.
The Djibouti based alliance expressed optimism toward the feasibility of accord calling the international community to play an important role in the peace process.
The accord in Djibouti was rubbished by the splinter group of the alliance based in Eritrea accusing the other side of yielding Ethiopian plans.
The agreement was also envisaged to bring the fighting to an end by replacing the Ethiopians with UN backed peacekeepers.
