A senior Somali government official was killed last night in Hudur town in the south of the country. Abdulahi Wareer dead after groups armed with pistols attacked him.

Bakool administration commissioner, Mohamed Abdi Mayow confirmed the death of the intelligence official to radio Simba.

No one has so far claimed responsibility of the killing; however forces loyal to the Shabab movement captured Hudur two days ago.
