About SIMBA
SIMBA Media Centre is an independent Broad casting firm that enabled Somali people be updated about any information locally or internationally by bringing mutually acceptable information from all over the world.
SIMBA Media Centre broadcasts a cross country Elenos FM radio 95.0MHZ stationing in Somalia Capital Mogadishu sending its signals so far around several Somalia south and central Zones including Banaadir, Lower Shabelle , Middle Shabelle, in parts of Hiiraan and Bay and Bakol regions.
SIMBA Media Centre also manages an interactive, multi-language website www.simbanews.com which provides non-biased information to the Somalis around the world as well as other people and organizations who are interested to learn about Somalia . Both the website and the radio provide reliable news and reports over current political and social information of Somalia and Somalis around the world.
When first launched
SIMBA Media Centre has officially launched its FM radio on July 2006 after stakeholders addressed the urgent need for impartial and integrity based on Radio station which avoids being mouthpiece for particular parties in the society.
For the short time SIMBA Media Centre set its FM Radio on the air it gained popularity and confidence among Somali communities alike by broadcasting reliable and impartial information based on their religious and cultural well-beings.
SIMBA Media Centre informs, educates and entertains listeners throughout the country. Whether in town on countryside, it swiftly started providing a wide variety of news, public affairs and cultural affairs programming.
According to the current needs, SIMBA Media centre strives since started speeding free and fair information to Somali communities; it raises awareness in the community in all aspects of social sectors including Health, Education and Peace-building. It gives confidential access to all ranks in order to share opinions freely.
SIMBA also created programs encouraging interaction among war-divided people in Somalia focusing on internally displaced people as well as Diaspora.
An estimated population of 623,000 people listen SIMBA Radio while this number increases day by day according to the developments the Radio made for the short period its broadcasting.
Mission and Goals
SIMBA Media Centre strives to propagate and publicize the mutual acceptable principles and ideals based on democratic manner, and encourage all Somalis to play constructive role in creating long lasting peace in the country democratic system of government in Somalia by promoting, encouraging democratic principals and the strict observance of human rights in Somalia .
In order to accomplish this mission, SIMBA organizes forums and opportunities for the political participation of fellow Somalis and builds a strong democratic and civil society by encouraging various groups, and political parties to resolve their difference in peaceful means.
In order to complete those goals, SIMBA always try hard to in getting Scholars and activists in order to analyze socio-political crisis in Somalia . To this end, Simba sustains freedom and well-being by broadcasting objective news and accurate information based on both religion and culture.

SIMBA Media Centre focuses on programs and projects that could enhance Civil capabilities in building peace and to this end it paves the way for a better future and understanding grounds by promoting freedom, humanity, impartiality, integrity as well as ethics.
SIMBA Media Centre also supports national process of the democratic transitions by developing institutions and individuals, advocacy, communications as well as public information.
In addition to purchasing powers, SIMBA also works hard in achieving wide popularity among internally displaced people inside Somali camps by covering their living situations bid by bid, this process led the encouragement of many locals who strived to share the though lives with their displaced brothers and sisters.
According to its geographical reach, SIMBA Media Centre contributes information not only to rural but also urban dwellers by covering what so ever involving their daily lives as well as farming and live-stock.
In the short period SIMBA Radio attracted variety parties in the community including Religious leaders, political parties, Civil-society groups and also marginalized communities in Somalia .
Worth mentioning SIMBA Media Centre has achieved the hearts of those marginalized in Somalia known as ( Dulamaneyaal) the minority clans in Somalia whose rights being deprived by isolating them.
SIMBA Media Centre started programs discouraging this kind of isolation against one part of Somali Community. This program is participated by intellectuals from all parties including minority groups in the community to exchange ideas and crackdown isolating behaviors.
According to this program, Simba Media Centre reached a goal which has never been thought of by the other associations and Media houses in Somalia .
Future ambitions
SIMBA Media Centre plans to launch a television system that broadcasts daily information all over the country. It also tries hard in achieving goals beyond Somali Media reachable in the near future by sending its signals neighboring countries as well as Middle East and Europe .
Skate holders are also already taking into future account contributing workshops and peace dialogues in order to promote and build the capacity of the society through airwaves.

SIMBA Media Centre does not represent in particular any group or party avoiding what ever could harm its' impartial structure and as to maintain this objective, SIMBA is managed by independent executive committee and Board of directors fairly elected by its' members.
SIMBA Media Centre employees more than 50 experienced and professional members comprising of Program producers, reporters, news monitors, technicians, and others.
